Paul Taylor has worked in the drug and alcohol field since 1991 as practitioner, manager and clinical supervisor. Extensive experience of private, statutory and third sector settings has given him first hand, in depth knowledge of the clinical and political themes inherent in substance dependence and its treatment. His MSc investigation into recovery matters and DAAT commissioned studies have been valuable opportunites to research and reflect further on these vital issues.

Paul firmly believes all persons seeking recovery should have access to high quality treatment options, and not be disadvantaged by a history of living at the margins.

He enthusiastically embraces the continuing quest of treatment providers to improve their services, knowing that given enough encouragement and a recovery environment people are more likely to make creative and positive changes.

Paul is in private practice as a counsellor and clinical supervisor. He is a trustee of an important southwest based charity, member of the eATA accreditation panel, and provides consultancy to a variety of treatment organisations.
